The 61st Street Service Corporation, provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting physicians by providing general nursing care, patient screening, and clinical support. The LPN will also provide patient education and medication administration (including injections).

Job Responsibilities:

• Tracks abnormal lab results to confirm that patient has had appropriate follow up as ordered by the physician in the patients plan of care
• Triage all calls and assist with EPIC clinical in-basket messages/telephone encounters and advise appropriate clinicians
• Maintains precise records of all specimens obtained and sent for testing
• Enter/review orders and document clinical notes in EPIC as advised by physicians
• Notifies patients of normal results as determined by the physician either telephone or Connect patient portal
• Obtain pre-certifications/pre-authorizations for medications, services and testing in a timely manner when necessary
• Provides physicians with results for routine review prior to scanning
• Provide clinical assistance to clinical coordinator with phlebotomy and administer medication/injections
• Provide backup coverage when required
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• New York State Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• OB/GYN experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus
• 1-2 years of OB/GYN experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Hourly Rate Ranges: $28.37 - $44.23
