Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Medical Director performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation and archiving IR images; responsible for the care of the patient while in the IR area. Responsible administratively to the Practice Manager and Clinical Operations Manager.

Multi-site coverage in the Westchester area may be needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets patients by confirming patient identification; reviewing imaging request; checking for special instructions; confirming anticipated services with patient.
• Explain procedure and equipment to the patient.
• Assist physicians with prepping patients for interventional studies or peripheral studies.
• Assists physicians during all procedures to provide optimal examinations.
• Uses independent judgement to assess particular circumstances of procedure, performs a broad range of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic medical images.
• Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance protocols.
• Ensures good working order of equipment. Troubleshoots routine equipment problems or seeks technical' assistance for equipment malfunctions.
• Perform assigned quality assurance tasks and participates in Radiation Safety audit reviews.
• Works closely with the Clinical Operations manager to manage inventory, place orders and organize supplies.
• Act as a liaison with NYPH IT for networking and Vue PACS/equipment setup.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• High School Diploma or GED, College preferred
• Graduate AMA approved school of Radiology
• New York State Licensed X-Ray Technologist by the Department of Health
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Hourly Rate Ranges: $39.23 - $64.29

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
