Practice Associate I #Full Time

Department: Urology - HIP
Location: New York, NY

Job Summary:

The Practice Associate I is responsible for the patient welcome experience functions and provides clinical administrative support in the day-to-day operations of practice and patient care in the Department of Urology. The Practice Associate I is part of a team that delivers an exceptional patient experience that contributes to positive health outcomes for patients and a work culture of Service-Oriented, Trust, Empathy, Safety, Inclusion, and Communication

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors.
  • Conduct pre-registration, check-in, check-out, appointments and other related tasks.
  • Obtain required registration and intake information from patients.
  • Follow end of day closing procedures.
  • Assist provider with patient flow and ensure all ordered testing has been completed.
  • Arrange aftercare and assistance.
  • Answer telephones, make appointments, handle and redirect inquiries as appropriate.
  • Provide support and back-up coverage as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to physicians and manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge/proficiency of Medical Terminology.
  • Working proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software is required and an ability and willingness to learn new systems and programs.
  • This role may rotate between sites.
  • Prior experience in EPIC is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Hourly Rate Ranges: $20.91 - $25.96

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges, taking into account experience, skill set, and other differentiating factors including education.
