Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for scheduling all Cardiovascular and diagnostic procedures, working with providers to identify dates, define procedures, place orders in the system and ensure patients have all required pre-operative testing. The CMA performs clinical duties to support the healthcare team in its efforts to operation efficiently and effectively. In the clinical role, the incumbent works with the medical team involved in evaluating and treating patients. This position requires someone who is savvy with electronical medical systems and can assist with documenting patient information in the system.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with providers to create a procedural schedule and place orders in Epic
• Instruct patients on the required pre-operative testing and ensure testing is done prior to the procedure
• Communicate regularly with the Cath Lab schedulers and supervisor to ensure all cases are placed on the schedule
• Answer patient inquiries and triage patients into exam rooms
• Request and scan medical records into EMR when needed
• Place ancillary orders in EPIC
• Schedule pre-operative testing; COVID and labs for all upcoming cardiac and diagnostic procedures
• Maintain share calendar and schedules
• Perform vital signs and EKGs
• Document medical and medication history in the EMR
• Restock medical supplies
• Hospital bed reservations for in-patients

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency and graduated from an accredited MA Training program required
• CMA/RMA certification required
• Previous experience in a medical office required
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in managing complex schedules
• Bilingual (Spanish) desired

Hourly Rate Range: $19.23 - $29.33

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
