Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will join a high-volume practice in the field of Cardiology. Patients will be seen in the outpatient setting as they are being assessed for congenital issues. The RN will help to support the NP and MD of Adult Congenital by reconciling medications, doing EKGs, taking patient histories, working as a scribe, helping with Transcranial Doppler exams, answering phone calls from patients and general support of the team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine patients, complete medical history and summarize each patient’s condition to the MD and the NP
• Educate patients and their families on conditions and treatment options
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedural testing in collaboration with the clinical coordinator
• Review results of pre- and post-procedural testing and communicate results to patients, families and referring physicians
• Respond to patient and family inquiries
• Assist patients in navigating through evaluation from procedure to post procedural follow up
• Participate in coordination of care meetings
• Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Associate’s in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• NYS RN License required.
• Current BCLS certification required
• Minimum two years of experience in a hospital setting required, preferably in cardiology/critical care
• Must have a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication skills
• Outside clinics are at a variety of sites. Ability to travel to these sites is required
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team of professionals
• Must have a high degree of professionalism
• Current PALS/ACLS/AED certification strongly encouraged but not required
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Annual Salary Ranges: $75,000.00 - $108,000.00

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
